What makes SHICHIDA different for the rest?

Shichida is a world-renowned teaching method backed by more than 60 years of evolving research into early childhood brain development.
The curriculum is age-specific, tailored to children’s attention spans and brain capabilities. At Shichida Australia, we fill in the gaps left by traditional education systems to equip our students with well-rounded skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.
The Shichida Method is unique in that it also teaches skills most often associated with the right brain such as empathy, creativity, intuition, imaging and photographic memory. With all the research behind us, we invite parents into the classroom to learn how to become their child’s first and best teacher.

Examples of Shichida early learning activities
Intuition Games

Children are naturally intuitive. We help them get to know and trust their instincts so that they may grow to listen to and trust themselves throughout their lives.

Image Training
Children learn to calm their minds and focus their imaginations to visualise themselves in a variety of situations and imagine walking in different shoes. They use these techniques to improve empathy, visualise their goals clearly and inspire creative thought and writing.
Working Memory
Children at our early learning centres have impressed many people with their incredible memories. We ingrain proven mnemonic devices and photographic memory skills so that our students will find any future learning and study easy and stress-free.
Flashcards

Flashcards are designed to engage the subconscious and expose the children to a large variety of topics, vocabulary and mathematics. When the children start talking, they often express a keen curiosity for and awareness of what they have seen at Shichida.

Critical Thinking

Our early childhood critical thinking activities help to build up one of the most valuable of life skills. Shichida critical thinking activities include mazes, puzzles, hands on activities, tangrams and open-ended questions to help your child think creatively and independently.

Literacy

Shichida children gain confidence in literacy by practising phonics, exploring alphabet letters in many ways, reading and making up stories and using their fantastic memories to build an extensive vocabulary. We empower children with the tools to express themselves in both written and verbal form.

Numeracy

At Shichida, our children learn to love maths and numbers! We have creative ways of introducing numeracy to the children that explore numbers from different angles and in hands-on ways to instil a passionate understanding of maths and numeracy. Children don’t fear maths as a subject when they attend Shichida classes.

By regularly listening, singing and playing instruments, your child learns to appreciate music, gain a sense of rhythm and express themselves. Many of our children have developed perfect pitch through our music activities.

Fine Motor Skills

Children develop their fine motor skills through a variety of activities. We start with fingertip training and then build on that foundation by using chopsticks and scissors to train kids to hold their pencils with the correct grip. Fine motor skills are also directly linked with helping the brain grow.
